Grange Farm is a really spacious, well-furnished and character-full mid 19th Century Yorkshire Stone Farmhouse and offers self catering accommodation, for maximum of 14 people + Cot. The house is excellent for families / friends wanting to holiday together, and has been given a 4 star rating by the Yorkshire Tourist Board.

The self catering accommodation is in the village of High Hawsker, which is in the North York Moors National Park, mid way between Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay. Approximately 2.5 miles from each. High Hawsker is an ideal base for exploring the coast and moors. The area is well suited for cycling and walking. A cycle hire centre is only a few minutes walk from the house. There are numerous paths and bridleways. We are on the route for the Coast to Coast walk, as well as the Cleveland Way. There is a private garden with garden furniture and a barbecue. Sorry, but not pets, and no smoking. ****************************** Please note it is essential that all prospective clients are aware when making a booking that we offer parking for a maximum of 4 vehicles for Grange Farm. Due to the size and the lay out of the village no other convenient parking is available. ******************************** PS. High Hawsker is a family orientated peaceful village. Rooms Description

Grange Farm which sleeps up to 14 has five bedrooms. First floor: Two family rooms (double bed and full-size bunk-beds), two twin rooms, bathroom / WC, separate WC. Second Floor: attic conversion (sloping ceiling), into an excellent double bedroom and en-suite bathroom / WC. All the bedrooms have a TV and a wash basin. There are two sitting rooms. One has a gas 'wood-burner effect' fire, this room also has a TV, video, DVD player, and stereo/radio/cassette/CD. The second sitting room has a high vaulted beamed ceiling (see picture). The spacious dining room has an open fire. The well equipped pine kitchen is next to dining room. There also is a conservatory which gives entrance to a south facing fenced garden and patio with garden furniture and barbecue.

Specialities

The dining room in Grange Farm has a large Yorkshire Stone fire-place, and a real wood floor. In this room you can spend many hours enjoying good food and conversation or just sit and stare into the flames of a real log or coal fire. Due to the age of the farmhouse, Grange Farm has some steps on the ground floor, which gives the property its unique character.
