This delightful place is situated in Sleights, and the welcoming village is surrounded by natural, picturesque beauty such as coastal villages, open countryside, moors, the Esk Valley and the Yorkshire fishing town of Whitby. There are two village pubs (both serving food), a restaurant, village shop and post office within walking distance, and these are perfect for making your stay a most enjoyable one.
The surrounding area of Sleights is ideal for walkers and ramblers as there are plenty of public footpaths leading through the nearby fields and woodlands. You will come across some lovely discoveries as you walk down the intriguing trails, and take away some great memories. Why not pay a visit to Whitby? Only 4 miles away with its picturesk views and sandy beach to Sandsend, it is steeped in history and cobble streets on the East side. The famous 199 steps lead up to St. Mary's Church and the Abbey where the district of Synod first set the Christian calendar dates in AD664 and we have celebrated Easter ever since.
We offer double, twin and single bedded accommodation, and all rooms will provide you with excellent comfort. The rooms come with tea and coffee making facilities. Each room has a TV with FreeSat and wireless internet is available. The Double and Single rooms also have their own vanity washbasin. The rooms benefit from having lovely views of the open countryside. All guests have use of a shared bathroom with power shower and separate additional toilet.
Guests will have the choice of a full English or continental breakfast. The perfect choice for those wanting to relax and enjoy the North Yorkshire coast and moors. We are close to the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway and near the Coast to Coast walk. Sandwiches can be provided upon request.
