The Arches is a beautiful and intimate guest house, ideally located within Whitby's West Cliff conservation area. We're just 5 minutes walk from the centre of town and all of Whitby's attractions; including the Abbey Visitors Centre. Vegetarians and other special dietry requirements can be catered for and packed lunches are available on request.

Rooms Description
At the Arches, guests can choose from a variety of rooms, all en-suite, including double, family, twin and single rooms (with private bathrooms). Ground floor rooms are ideal for guests with impaired mobility (some disabled equipment is available). All rooms are centrally heated, have colour televisions, hospitality trays, hairdryers, radio alarm clocks, desk fans and comfortable beds. Ironing facilities are available. Free broadband WiFi is now available throughout the building.

The Arches is probably one of the most popular Guest Houses in Whitby, with guests returning time after time. Our 'secret' is that we treat people the way we would like to be treated, and we will always endeavour to go that extra mile to make our guests feel welcome and 'at home' Our 3 night Christmas Special (£250 p.p.)is a must for those trying to escape the stress of the usual family do.
