A quaint terraced cottage, traditionally furnished with spacious lawned gardens, Harber Scar Cottage near Settle sleeps up to five guests in a peaceful Yorkshire Dales village. With wooden beamed ceilings, a stone fireplace, cosy bedrooms and a woodburning stove, the cottage offers plenty of charm, but features modern amenities that help to make your self-catering holiday a little more relaxed. If you're planning on using that woodburner, you'll be pleased to know that your first pack of fuel will be provided free of charge. The cottage comes with parking facilities for one vehicle, in a nearby pub car park, and shares an enclosed garden with BBQ facilities.
Close to a number of world-famous walking trails, Harber Scar Cottagr is ideal for those who prefer a more active holiday. It's within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and just a short drive (or walk!) from the Three Peaks, with the Settle-Carlisle railway running just five minutes away. During your stay, you'll be very close to The Crown - a pub serving meals and drinks, where your car can be parked free of charge for the duration of your stay. Shops are within a five minute walk, and if you're going to drive a little further afield it's worth visiting Malham Cove and the stunning Gordale Scar, for a challenging hike complete with waterfall climb.
Three bedrooms at Harber Scar sleep five guests in total - one double room, one twin room and one single room. Guests share a bathroom with over-bath shower, a kitchen with dining area, and a cosy lounge with a woodburning stove. The kitchen is particularly well equipped, with laundry facilities and a dishwasher.
If you're planning on travelling with a young child, why not request a cot and highchair for the duration of you're stay? They'll be provided free of charge for your convenience. Also available, to make those less sunny days a little more bearable, are books and DVDs kept within the cottage. Want to bring a pet? Harber Scar Cottage will welcome two well-behaved dogs - and they'll love the nearby walks!
