Magnificent views of the bay and the coastal cliffs to the north, coupled with the rugged castle headland to the south can be seen from the hotel. We're within easy walking distance from the sandy beaches of the North and South Bays, the Old Town and harbour, the shopping centre and a range of tourist attractions. Children are especially well catered for at the hotel, and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, which provides excellent walking or car tours, are a short distance away. The historic city of York is less than an hours drive away. An extensive range of tourist information leaflets are available to guests in the hotel.
Relax in The Lounge and enjoy a panoramic view of the North Bay and the 12th Century Castle on the headland. The lounge benefits from Colour TV & VCR with a variety of films. In the Dining Room with its sea view, a generous ' Deliciously Yorkshire' Breakfast is served from 8.00 to 9.30 am.
Double, Single, Twin and Family Rooms are all available. All rooms have en-suite or private facilities, central heating, colour TV, radio alarm clock, hair dryer and a kettle. Four of our 6 rooms are family rooms each with en-suite shower and toilet. Our largest room can accommodate a family of 5. We also have a shared bathroom for the little people who are not yet ready for showers! Cots and high chairs can also be provided.
Our separate and comfortable Bar Lounge offers a wide range of drinks to suit all tastes. The bar is open from 5.00pm. A range of games suitable for all ages are provided in the bar. Children are welcome to join you while you relax. We also have a baby monitor. The sea view lounge has a range of children's and family videos and a selection of books for all ages. For beach use we have a selection of buckets and spades for you to borrow. The bar has a large selection of games to suit all the family.
