The holiday cottage sleeps 2 to 5 people and features historic, 17th century beams within its spacious split level accommodation. With comfortable and nicely furnished interiors, the holiday cottage will provide a tranquil escape from the pressures of the modern world.
Our holiday cottage is close to local amenities and public transport, and yet set in a secluded location with large car parking facilities, private garden and access to many public walking paths. The cottage is situated at the foothills of the Yorkshire Pennines in the picturesque Holme Valley. The area is renowned for it's appearance in TV's 'Last of the Summer Wine', and guests have easy access to Sid's Cafe in picturesque Holmfirth. We are also ideally located for the Peak District where guests can spend their time walking, cycling, rock climbing, caving and much more.
The holiday cottage features a spacious and comfortable lounge/dining area, which opens up to the oak beamed ceiling. It has a coal effect cast iron fire for extra comfort, although, there is sufficient central heating and insulation. The well equipped kitchen includes oven, ceramic/halogen hob, dishwasher, microwave, washer, dryer, fridge/freezer, and hostess trolley. Also downstairs, there is a comfortable twin bedroom next to the Victorian style bathroom which includes a bath, shower, vanity unit with washbasin & WC. Upstairs, the Bedhuin Tent bedroom has a king sized bed and only a few steps away you can reach the second gallery - an extra sitting area, dressing room and/or sleeping area with single bed (with room for a second)
The Studio holiday cottage in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, provides excellent 4 Star self-catering accommodation. A welcome tray, flowers, and a home-baked loaf of bread shall be awaiting on arrival. During your stay you will have linen provided and towels available on request, and the use of all the Cottage's mod cons. There is an open plan layout with Wireless internet access throughout. Disabled access - please enquire for details. Sue is a textile artist & has a studio at Mytholmbridge Farm where you can arrange to have a felt-making workshop during your stay. Beginners or master classes available. 2 course home made lunch/wine - enquire when booking. Christmas tree, lights and mince pies at Christmas - ideal for Xmas breaks.
