The cottage is just 10 minutes walk from the market square. Ideally suited to couples looking for a relaxing break or small families with older children, the cottage is well appointed and ideally located in this beautiful and historic town. There are a variety of shops, restaurants, and numerous pubs within easy walking distance from Gallowgate. The cottage is equipped to a high standard, there are marble worktops, a butchers trolley and ceramic hob in the conservatory kitchen. In the living room there is glass fronted living flame gas stove which makes the cooler evenings a warm, cosy experience. The downstairs bedroom has a very comfortable and spacious king-size bed. Just five minutes walk down Gallowgate and at the top of Frenchgate you will find the Ship Inn. The Ship is a very friendly, genuine old pub that extends a warm welcome to dogs as well as owners! For all types of groceries and supplies, there is a large Coop store nearby. In the town there are a range of excellent grocery stores selling good local produce at reasonable prices.
