The town is a favourite meeting place for walkers starting their trek on the Cleveland Way. This is one of twelve designated National Trails which starts at this historic town, and the 110 mile walk ends at the coast in Filey. Many walkers describe it as being two walks in one, the first being a wonderful walk with beautiful heather moorland scenery and the second being of outstanding coastline. The lush green fields, rolling hills, ancient buildings and ruins, high cliffs, small fishing villages and peaceful, coastal towns will make this a walk to remember.

The cottage sleeps 4. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a southerly aspect overlooking the picturesque village. The second bedroom is a twin room with views towards the Church and historic Castle. The family bathroom is also located on the 1st floor. All linen and towels are provided at no extra cost. Downstairs there is a large dining kitchen which includes electric cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and a washing machine. There is also a separate sitting room which includes freeview television and a DVD player plus a lavatory.

Outside, there is a south facing garden to the front of the property as well as a private stone shed for storage (ideal for cyclists!) and a private designated parking space.
