The Old Station Inn is ideally located for many local attractions and within driving distance of Yorkshire's main towns and cities. Places of interest include some of the country's most dramatic scenery such as Malham Cove and the National Trust owned Malham Tarn and Field Centre, Gordale Scar and Ingleton Waterfalls. Serious walkers may like to attempt the Three Peaks of Ingleborough, Penyghent and Whernside. Also in the locality are the notable White Scar Caves and Stump Cross Caverns. Rail enthusiasts will be enthralled by a trip on the Settle to Carlisle railway, or a visit to one of the small privately-run railways in the the area at Embsay or Keighley & Worth Valley Railways. As well as the historic town of Settle, there are facilities for clay pigeon shooting and fly fishing at Coniston Cold, hot air ballooning, pony trekking and the local falconry centre. The market town of Skipton with an interesting variety of shops, castle and museum, swimming pool, leisure centre and golf course is a short drive.
