This beautiful secluded site with eight 3 to 4 star cottages, is located on the River Esk at Ruswarp, adjacent to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Only two miles from the historic fishing port of Whitby and a 45 minute drive to the lovely city of York. Pets welcome.
Away from the hustle and bustle. Take time out with your family and friends to enjoy this peaceful lifestyle. Wildlife abounds, nature is on your doorstep, you can feed the ducks and swans, watch the fish jump and catch a glimpse of the kingfisher. The only disturbance is the passing steam train on the opposite bank. Calm prevails.
Tucked away next to the river and on our private grounds, are riverside retreats. CHAINBRIDGE APARTMENT - Luxury apartment sleeping 6 people, with 3 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 en-suite, with walk in wardrobe and nursery room. A spacious living room with open fire. Large kitchen dining room with double doors onto a balcony over the river. Blessed with stunning views and an abundance of wildlife. HONEYSUCKLE - This most popular of our holiday homes is a perfect 2 person retreat, cosy sitting room, kitchen area, patio doors overlooking the river and double bedroom en suite shower room. FUSHIA/HOLLYHOCK - Larger than the other holiday retreats, comfortable for 4 but can take 6. Open plan like the others. Comfy sofas, dining area with doors leading out to the garden and river. Staircase to galleried sitting area and twin bedroom, downstairs double bedroom. Shower room. JASMINE/WILLOW - Similar to each other, these 2 retreats have a barn like atmosphere, stairs from the sitting rooms lead to open gallery with adjacent twin beds. Downstairs spacious double bedroom with antique double bed. Sitting room, kitchen dining offers patio doors with access to garden river bank. Sit back and watch the wild life from your sofas. CLEMATIS - Furthest away, Spacious place for 2+2, calm colours, vaulted ceiling, living room with bedsettee, dining room, downstairs double bedroom shower and toilet. The Boat Loft - The newest and set apart from the other cottages, the Boat Loft offers a romantic retreat. Contemporary style, with a twist of french chic. Cosy and comfortable. It has white painted floorboards and antique rugs, antique bed and modern kitchen. We also have an apartment in Scarborough.
The MINIATURE RAILWAY is open every weekend from May to October and all school holidays. Special steam weekends. Come and ride on our special little trains - 7 and a quarter inch gauge track, around beautiful 4 acre grounds. Picnic area, ample free parking Bring your canoe and fishing rod, and explore the river from the front door of your cottage. Pets are welcome at £20.00 extra.
