With direct access onto the Calderdale Way linking to miles of footpaths and bridleways the holiday cottages are an ideal location for walkers, cyclists, horse riders, photographers and anyone wanting to enjoy a quiet and peaceful break in a stunning location, within easy reach of a host of amenities. The Historic 17th Century Holiday Cottages have been fully restored and boast a wealth of original features. Open log/coal fires, stone mullion windows, exposed beams and thick stone walls provide a romantic atmosphere, with double glazing, central heating, internet access and modern kitchens bringing them into the 21st Century! 1100 feet above sea level Hebden Bridge Holiday Cottages are South Facing and surrounded by their own 20 acres of gently sloping farmland. Fabulous Sunrises, Vivid Sunsets, miles of heather covered moors and wildlife on your doorstep, tumbling streams, sparkling waterfalls and early morning mist in the valleys, provide great Photo opportunities, remember to bring your camera (we can lend you some binoculars – just ask!). Hebden Bridge with its acclaimed shops, trendy cafes, fabulous restaurants, traditional cinema, Victorian train station, modern art galleries and live music venues is two miles, within a mile are two traditional village pubs serving good home made food, and Old Town village post office/shop. Our family business Hebden Bridge Equestrian Centre is run by our daughters Tamzin and Zara. They offer Riding Lessons and Scenic Hacks on our quiet and friendly horses and ponies. Red Rose Cottage **** is the middle property which was the original farmhouse and therefore offers much larger accomodation than White Rose. It has a newly fitted kitchen, utility and downstairs toilet and the large lounge has a big antique bookcase and huge stone fireplace complete with salt hole and bread oven! From the lounge the glazed door leads to the sheltered garden. Upstairs the master bedroom has a large bed and lots of built-in wardrobe space. The second bedroom also has built in wardrobes and has a zip and link bed so that you have the choice of either a kingsize bed or two 3' singles. Bed linen and towels are provided.
Just accross from the cottages is Hebden Bridge Equestrian Centre. Set in 20 acres of gently sloping farmland on the edge of the Wadswoth moors above Hebden Bridge. We are a small, friendly family run business offering Riding Lessons, Show Jumping & Hacking on the bridleways directly from the yard! Stables can provide accomodation for you Horse to come on Holiday too!
