Whitby is a town in the Scarborough borough of North Yorkshire, which has a huge range of attractions and activities available for all ages. The quirky town is home to a huge abundance of history, which is all documented in the Whitby Museum. Linked to this museum is the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, which is one of the many diverse attractions in Whitby - the Regional winner 2005 of White Rose Awards, this museum documents the life of the great and handsome explorer, James Cook. The Dracula Experience is also another of the unusual attractions that brings guests to the area from miles around - most visible during the twice yearly "Goth Weekend" which is held mainly over Halloween.
