If so come and stay with us at the Board Inn at Lealholm! This residential coaching inn was built in 1742 and is nicely located on the banks of the River Esk. Guests will find all the modern facilities they need in this recently refurbished country inn, yet the property still retains the character and charm of a traditional Yorkshire inn. The Inn is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is a great base for walkers. There are also a number of attractions to be found within easy reach including the North Yorkshire Moors railway and what has now become known as 'Heartbeat country'. We have our own private fishing rights to the river, perfect for keen anglers.
The Board Inn at Leaholm offers real food, real ales and real cider all served in the cosy atmosphere provided by the Inn's real fires. Guests can enjoy fine food, sourced from local producers and including beef, lamb and pigs from our own herd. You can dine in the restaurant which overlooks the River Esk, or in the warmer weather enjoy your meal or a drink on the terrace overlooking the river. Come and join us for some of the finest produce the county of Yorkshire has to offer. Alternatively, simply have a cup of steaming coffee in the cosy armchairs and sofa by the fire in the comfortable lounge.
We have a variety of en-suite bedrooms including a fabulous four poster with an adjoining single bedroom which is suitable for a family or romantic break; a double room over looking the River Esk; a family room which will sleep four; and a twin room with 2 single beds. All rooms are contain tea and coffee making facilities and a colour television.We also have a self catering cottage which sleeps two, next to the pub with a kitchen / living area, double bedroom and power shower ensuite.
Children and dogs are welcome at this family friendly inn with rooms at Leaholm in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Danby and the North York Moors National Park Centre are all within easy reach.
