The Saxonville Hotel is idyllically situated on Whitby's West Cliff, close to all Whitby attractions including Whitby Abbey and the Captain Cook Museum. The hotel offers the very best in comfort and hospitality to guests, and we're conveniently just a few minutes stroll from the narrow streets and winding alleyways of this delightful, historic town.

The Fairfield Restaurant is spacious and attractively decorated, serving delicious cuisine freshly prepared daily in our kitchens. The Saxonville Hotel is also an ideal venue for conferences, seminars and meetings, and has a warm and welcoming reception area, with its fresh flowers and splendid Grandfather clock. Our quiet and comfortable lounge is the perfect place to escape the hectic outside world. Relax and exchange stories of the day's activities in our cosy, fully stocked bar. Fairfield Restaurant serves a wide range of choice from traditional English fare to our Table d'Hote menu or select from our extensive A la carte menu. Both are complemented by the special sweet trolley and a selection of mouthwatering deserts.

All 23 bedrooms have been recently redecorated to the highest of standards, offering guests supreme comfort and style. Each bedroom is complete with en-suite bathroom, bath and shower, remote control colour TV with teletext (incorporating radio), Tea and Coffee making facilities, Direct Dial Telephone, and Hairdryer. The bedrooms comprise of singles, twins, doubles & family rooms (for 3 or 4 persons). Due to a popular demand Saxonville Hotel now has a Four Poster Bedroom. This 5 foot Chatsworth Design Bed is beautifully draped to co-ordinate with the curtains and bedspread. This is the ideal room for that "Special Occasion" or just if you need a little pampering. The Small lounge at the front of the building has been turned into a ground floor bedroom. This room is ideal for our less mobile guests who prefer not to climb the stairs.

Should you have any particular requirements that we should know about, such as being Vegetarian, having a disability, wanting to arrive early etc, please feel free to contact us in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements. We would like to advise all our guests that the Saxonville Hotel has six steps up to the front door and we do not have a lift. If you are less mobile, please ask about our ground floor bedroom or request a first floor bedroom. Private parking for 20 cars.

Deluxe Rooms available. We have a ground floor twin bedded room. Four Poster Room available. No single Saturday night bookings taken. Closed from 5th December and all January. Only open Friday and Saturday nights in February and March.
