The hotel building originally dates back to 1779 and was designed on the plans of the Mansion House in London. The picturesque town of Whitby is said to be 'the jewel in the crown of the Yorkshire Coast' and the historic harbour remains to this day a working port.
The Upper Deck Restaurant offers traditional and local specialties. All are freshly prepared using only the finest quality local ingredients where possible. We pride ourseleves on serving good quality, home cooked meals. Real Chips and Large portions, all at reasonable prices. In addition to the restaurant there is also an open plan bar with comfortable seating, pool table and large television with Sky sports and music.
A range of rooms are available including double, twin and family. All are en-suite and finished to a very high standard. We also have a 4 poster / Bridal suite for the most romantic evenings.
As well as being the ideal venue for Conferences, being situated in the centre of Whitby, we also cater for parties, christenings, funerals and any other special occasion as we can cater for up to 150 people. Whether your require facilities for 1:1 Interviews, Regional Conferences, Private Dinner Parties or a Banquet, the Resolution Hotel can cater for you. We have an extensive style of rooms available to ensure that we can meet your specific requirements. The Resolution Hotel is also a well known local music venue, with various entertainment on throughout the week. Every Saturday night there is guaranteed to be live Music, catering for all musical tastes throughout the year.
