Lesta Cottage in Bielby is a charming character property offering cosy self catering accommodation for two people. Situated midway between the historic city of York and the large market town of Beverley close to the Yorkshire Wolds, the cottage provides an ideal peaceful hideaway, perfect for couples on a romantic weekend or as a base for walkers and cyclists wanting to take advantage of the picturesque rolling countryside.

At just over a half an hours drive from York, Bielby is an attractive little village that allows guests to enjoy the peace and quite of the countryside whilst remaining within touching distance of a large number of tourist attractions. York is beautiful walled city with a rich history and an important place in Britain's development. Founded by the Romans in 71 AD and captured by the Vikings in 866 AD, the modern York is a very popular tourist destination where historic streets, buildings and points of interest mix with a bustling cafe-culture and vibrant night-life and modern attractions such as a major horse racecourse, the fascinating Jorvik Viking Centre and scary York Dungeons.

The ground floor of the cottage has a fully fitted kitchen that features modern cooking and refrigeration appliances and other convenient appliances such as a microwave and washing machine. The kitchen and sitting room both feature traditional beamed ceilings and the sitting room also boasts a brick fireplace with multi-fuel stove. A large covered porch offers somewhere to store shoes, coats and walking equipment.

The cottage is well heated for colder times, thanks to a night storage heating system and the sitting room stove, whilst in warmer climates guests can take advantage of a small seating area at the front of the property.
