Situated in the grounds of the owners house, cottage guests can enjoy use of the main house's pretty gardens including garden furniture & pretty pond. The cottage is 3 miles from Whitby with its amenities & charming harbour. The surrounding area is ideal for a walking or cycling holiday with a wealth of walking tracks & cycle trails in nearby. Horse riding is also available locally. This property is available for both holidays & short breaks.
Pretty Robin Hood's Bay is just a short drive from the cottage being two miles away and the historical attractions of Whitby including St Hilda's Abbey & St Mary's Church (inspiration for Bram Stoker's novel, 'Dracula') are also within easy reach. The North York Moors National Park is also perfect for a day trip. Enjoy a ride on the steam railway or a hike through the rugged landscape.
The accommodation is well equipped in terms of both self catering facilities and entertainment options. The lounge has a TV with digibox, video, radio/CD and seating for four. The kitchen area is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with ice box. The twin bedroom is cosy and comfortable, with plenty of storage.
Older children over the age of 10 are welcome at Anvil Cottage. This is a pet free cottage which is available for both short breaks & holidays. Lots of off road parking is available at the cottage.
