Conveniently located for touring the moors, and yet in close proximity to the coast, this lovely cottage has been individually styled and equipped with a full range of modern appliances and comfortable furnishings that sit well with character features such as oak beams & floors, and exposed stonework. The cottage sleeps 4 and is suitable for families thanks to double and twin bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms.
Jade Cottage is located in a rural North Yorkshire Moors setting two miles from the small village of Sawdon, and less than half an hour drive from Scarborough with its many shops and eateries, and sandy beaches. Sawdon is served by The Anvil Inn, the nearest restaurant to the cottage, that serves excellent cuisine including hearty Sunday lunches. Ideal for visitors who enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, horse riding and mountain biking, the cottage is also a short drive from Dalby Forest, home to a number of challenging mountain bike trails and the Go Ape! High wire adventure course.
Jade Cottage in Sawdon has large feature windows letting in an abundant amount of daylight to the lounge and master bedroom above. Both en-suite bedrooms are located on the first floor, with the master bedroom boasting a kingsize bed and the second bedroom with twins. The kitchen and the lounge are spacious with enough room for a dining table and chairs. The relaxing lounge also boasts a 37" flat-screen TV with a built in DVD player and ipod dock. Guests have shared use of a patio in front of the farm house and communal gardens.
The property benefits from ample on-site parking thanks to its rural location, which also affords it the luxury of having stabling which guests with their own horses/ponies can make use of with the prior agreement of the owners. There is also secure storage for walking equipment and bicycles. The cottage is supplied with water from a private bore hole that has been filtered. A travel cot and babies high-chair are available by arrangement.
