Superb residential coaching inn built 1742 on the banks of the River Esk we have our own private fishing rights to the river. We serve Real Food, Real Ales, Real Cider, have Real Fires You can dine in the restaurant overlooking the river, or in the warmer weather on the terrace over looking the river. Enjoy coffee in the cosy armchairs and sofa by the fire in the lounge

Located in the North Yorkshire Moores so is a walker's paradise with easy access to 'Heartbeat' Country and North Yorkshire Moores Railway. Whitby 10 miles, York 1 hour's drive.

Rooms Description

All of our Bedrooms have shower ensuite facilities. We have a variety of Bedrooms to meet most needs, ranging from a four poster with an ajoining single bedroom which is suitable for a family or romantic break, a double room over looking the River Esk, a Family room which will sleep four, Twin room with 2 single beds. Self catering cottage which sleeps two, next to the pub with Kitchen / living area, double bedroom and power shower ensuite.
