About these Holiday Cottages

Welcome to Crag House Farm in the North York Moors National Park. Situated close to our Grade II listed Quaker-built long house, these two stunning barn conversions sit in private gardens and provide excellent accommodation for families or groups visiting the Danby Dale heather moorland. 

Beacon View

Is a Grade II listed sandstone barn recently converted to provide luxury self-catering accommodation for 6+. The winner of the North York Moors National Park Design Award 2012, it has stunning views from all aspects.

The modern kitchen is well equipped, and a utility room leads to a separate WC. The spacious vaulted sitting room has oak beams, flagstone floors, rural antiques and a wood burning stove, plus the modern comforts of underfloor heating, variable mood lighting, a flatscreen TV with DVD player, an iPod dock and free WiFi.

The refectory table under the green oak staircase and gallery seats 10, 

Bedrooms

The ground floor master bedroom, with doors onto the garden, has a king-sized bed and modern en-suite wetroom. The second bedroom is another king-size, with a flatscreen TV and DVD player. A third bedroom has twin zip-and-link beds, and the large bathroom has a walk-in shower, double roll-top bath, mood lighting and speakers connected to the house's sound system.

Dale View

A lovely barn conversion which has won the National Park Design Award 2014, it has oak timbers, light oak stone floors, exposed walls and a feature window in one of the double bedrooms which looks down over the ground floor.

The accommodation includes an exceptionally large farmhouse kitchen with 17th Century serving table, old oak church pew, school bench, dishwasher and mobile island kitchen. There is also a well equipped utility room with laundry facilities, freezer and Belfast sink. The sitting room has south facing French windows affording views of Danby Dale, a warming wood burner stove, leather sofas, 40" satellite TV, DVD player and a pine box with games and books. Stairs lead up to a galleried seating area.

Bedrooms

Three double bedrooms including a ground floor with luxury king size brass bedstead, 18th century chest of drawers and glass doors leading to the south facing gardens. The master double bedroom has a wall mounted TV and mood lighting plus a twin bedroom with vaulted ceiling and illuminated 'arrow slits'. There are two bath/ shower rooms comprising of a luxury bathroom with Victorian style bath and a wet room.

Outside

Each beautiful cottage has its own private garden with amazing views. There is ample parking for 3 cars.
