The house is set into the hillside and the breakfast room, on the lower ground floor, leads on to a paved terrace, surrounded by orchards, hills, escarpments and the fast flowing River Swale as it meanders its way from Keld in upper Swaledale.

River View B&B is just 3 minutes walk from the centre of Richmond and overlooks the Coast to Coast path on the opposite side of the river, the Sunday Times had to concede ‘one of the 10 best places to live’ in England. Surrounding us is Richmond, with its spectacular beauty, many lovely walks and an excellent choice of restaurants as well as shopping facilities. The adjoining countryside, Swaledale and Wensleydale, offers some of the most interesting and panoramic scenery in England with its stone medieval villages, picturesque and untainted.
