The village has a small grocery shop and several good pubs serving food and is the ideal spot to base yourself in order to discover the area. The bustling market town of Leyburn is nearby offering restaurants, tea rooms and shops, not to mention a chocolate factory and Wensleydale Railway line. The Forbidden Corner, an unusual attraction incorporating follies, mazes and acres of parkland is not to be missed and is a short drive from the cottage. Ideally situated for those who enjoy walking, fishing, mountain biking with an abundance of footpath walks in the area across the stunning scenery.
