Our lodges are magnificent properties in an idyllic location, and they're a fantastic choice for relaxing rural breaks. You'll spend your stay in thirty acres of beautiful woodland, on a nature reserve home to a huge variety of wildlife. Our lodges offer peace and tranquillity, and they're just a short drive from the wonderful historic town of York. All are luxuriously furnished, set around a calm lake, and during your stay your cares will fade away as you sit by your cast iron stove or relax on your private verandah.

We offer a variety of beautifully furnished, homely lodges at The Old Gravel Pit. Wigeon Lodge sleeps four in a king-sized room and a twin room. It has ramped access and wide doorways for guests in wheelchairs, and we've included a shower seat and hand rail in the bathroom. The lodge has a private fishing platform, and wheelchair users are welcome to fish straight from the bank. Mallard Lodge also sleeps four, in a king-sized bedroom and a twin room, whilst Little Grebe Lodge and Swift Lodge offer accommodation for two in en-suite king-sized rooms, including jacuzzi baths. In Swift Lodge, the king-sized bed is a four-poster. All lodges have luxury fitted kitchens, dining facilities and living rooms including TV and DVD facilities. Widgeon Lodge includes Sky channels. BBQs are also provided.
