Goosebank offers self catering holiday accommodation for up to 7 guests. The cottage is located in the small farming hamlet of West Scrafton in Coverdale. Overlooking the village green and enjoying beautiful surroundings, the cottage is the ideal base for your holiday in the Yorkshire Dales. There are scenic walks right from your doorstep which will take you over unspoilt farmland and hills. You can walk to Middleham and within walking distance is a popular community pub. See the castles or visit the market town of Leyburn which boasts a great selection of pubs, shops and a Tourist Information Centre.
If walking isn't your thing then why not take a trip to Jervaulx Abbey, which is a haven for wild flowers and has a welcoming tearoom. The children will love Forbidden Corner where they can get lost in the maze and Gayle Mill which has been fully restored and offers a great day out. The cottage is in a perfect location for exploring the Dales villages of Masham, Bedale and Leyburn, all of which host markets one or two days a week. Slightly further afield is the Yorkshire coast and the seaside town of Whitby cannot be missed!

The cottage comprises a sitting room with TV/DVD and CD player as well as a wood burning stove. There is a separate dining room with books and games and a modern kitchen with hob, oven, fridge and microwave. There is also a downstairs toilet. There are 4 bedrooms, 1 single (ensuite), 1 twin and 2 double as well as a family bathroom. We also have a playroom, ideal for family guests. Lovely views from all windows.

All bed linen is included in the price as is electricity and oil central heating. In this quiet farming village it is a common sight to see the sheep being herded through the village and the hens from the field opposite wander around and have been known to nest and hatch out chicks under the bushes of the cobbled yard at Goose bank! There's also a community pub just 1 mile away serving food.

Short midweek breaks available from £240.00 in low season (3 nights) 3 night weekend breaks £300 (except July and August). A few July bookings available - £550 a week September bookings available £450 a week. From £350 a week for 7 people.
