The Wombwell Arms is well placed for walkers, cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy exploring the beautiful North York Moors countryside. For those hoping for a quieter and much more gentle holiday there are plenty of attractions just a few miles from the Inn. Take in the Gothic architecture of Byland Abbey, the magnificence of Newbury Priory featuring a walled garden, water garden and a wood for visitors to enjoy a peaceful stroll. Visit the historic and beautiful Rievaulx Abbey or the grand decorations and furnishings at Duncombe Park.
We offer 3 en-suite bedrooms all with double beds, drinks making facilities, TV with Freeview. Two rooms feature a show whilst the third features a bath with shower and can also fit a put me up bed for a small family.
Our restaurant is open everyday of the week and we serve up traditional British fayre with a South African twist. Guests can also enjoy a drink in the bar and choose from our extensive drinks list which includes guest ales, 39 wines and 11 malt whiskeys. Dogs are welcome in the Poachers bar.
