Each has been lovingly restored from old farm buildings to create friendly and affordable self catering accommodation for the more discerning guest. Places of interest to be found nearby include the historic city of York and the stately homes of Duncombe Park, Nunnington Hall and Castle Howard are all easily accessible. The market town of Helmsley is five miles away and is a great place to source locally produced food. There are a number of scenic walks in the vicinity, and fishing for the keen angler. Alternatively, you could just sit and admire the outstanding views from your cottage. Real ale fans will find a great number of micro breweries dotted across North Yorkshire including the Black Sheep Brewery at Masham, a great day out.
Valley View Farm Cottages offer seven self catering holiday cottages in total, with one to three bedrooms. All cottages have TV with Freeview, DVD, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, cooker and washer/dryer. Each also has a TV in each bedroom, hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board. For those cottages without a freezer Sally is happy for you to use the freezer in the laundry room, however there is a freezer box in each fridge for smaller frozen items. Guests have access to the stone walled patio area whch is south facing and equipped with garden furniture.
Electric, gas, bedding and towels are included in the price.
