The contemporary properties are situated in a Tudor courtyard setting, tucked away off one of the pedestrianised streets in the shadow of the magnificent Gothic York Minster cathedral. Each apartment is equipped and decorated in a modern style and sleeps up to four guests with a double bedroom and sofa bed.
York is an ancient city in north Yorkshire with a rich and varied history dating back to when the Romans first founded the settlement Eboracum on the site in 71AD. The Vikings played a huge part in shaping modern York; from their invasion and capture of the city in 866AD to the end of their rule there circa 954AD. The excellent Jorvic Viking Museum plays a large part in explaining their involvement, whilst several other museums, galleries and old buildings tell more of York's heritage. The large numbers of tourist are catered for by a wide selection of restaurants & cafes, bars and pubs as well as shops selling anything from designer clothing to souvenirs.
