Well equipped and very comfortable, with contemporary décor and furnishings, the cottage enjoys some great views of the surrounding countryside towards the Yorkshire Wolds and is a superb base for exploring the stunning east Yorkshire coast and the Yorkshire Moors. We heartily welcome families (one or more) and can accommodate groups of couples and responsible adult friends.
Flixton is a rural North Yorkshire village with great access to the East Yorkshire coast. Located four and a half miles from the beach at Cayton Bay, just under six miles from the beach at Filey and around seven and a half miles from the beach at Scarborough, guests at End House cottage are always within easy reach of a stretch of golden sand to walk on, build sandcastles on, or if you are a little more adventureous, enjoy a bit of surfing. Scarborough is the biggest and most well known tourist resorts on the Yorkshire coast, the town being a popular destination since the 17th Century. Today's Scarborough has seen some significant recent investment and is a great place to shop, has a vibrant nightlife with plenty of varied restaurants, bars and nightclubs, and has a strong cultural scene.
End House Cottage is a spacious property with a large fully fitted kitchen with breakfast/dining table and a full range of integrated appliances. Leaving the kitchen there are two sitting rooms; one with an electric fire within a feature fireplace, and doors to garden, and a second that has a bar and doors leading to the indoor swimming pool. Sleeping accommodation on the ground floor consists of a double bedroom and a twin room with additional single child's bed. These are served by a bathroom with double ended bath and a cubicle shower, whilst on the first floor is a similar bathroom serving three more double bedrooms, two with 5’ beds.
Our well-appointed property features an indoor 33’ x 14’ swimming pool, which is adjacent to an enclosed garden with lawned and patio areas with outdoor furniture. There is a double garage with room for two cars and driveway space for two more. We can supply a travel cot, high-chair and stair-gate. Bed linen and towels are provided free of charge, though guests should bring their own towels for use with the swimming pool.
