Our two bedroom cottage has been tastefully decorated and equipped to provide a restful and relaxing holiday for small families or for a couple on a romantic break. The property is ideal for guests with a love of the outdoors, with plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling, as well as golf and horse-riding all nearby.
Ganton is an ancient village in North Yorkshire. Situated between the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Wolds in the Vale of Pickering. The village is best known for its golf course which is one of just three British courses to host the Ryder Cup, Walker Cup and Curtis Cup, golf's premier team event cups. It is approximately twenty minutes from the seaside towns of Scarborough and Filey as well as the lovely beach at Cayton Bay. Scarborough is the largest resort on the Yorkshire coast and boasts great places for shopping, dining out and partying, whilst Filey is the start/finish point for several long distance foot and cycle paths.
Barley Cottage offering good space for all guests inside and out, there is a large, enclosed garden to the rear of the property that is accessed through the contemporary kitchen/dining room. Adjacent to the kitchen is a well-furnished lounge with a comfortable sofa and two matching armchairs, an electric stove fire and entertainment in the shape of a Freeview TV with DVD and a radio/CD. Upstairs there is a generously proportioned master bedroom with super-king bed, and a light and airy single bedroom.
We offer a warm welcome to all guests at Barley Cottage in more ways than one; we provide a comprehensive information park on the local area and the cottage boasts night storage heaters and the electric stove-effect fire in the lounge to keep things toasty even in the coldest months. The garden features outdoor furniture and is fully enclosed so that children can play safely. Parking is available at the roadside which is quiet and away from the main roads.
