The property is a character 18th Century barn conversion ideal for families and couples/ friends sharing. Pets are welcome and guests have easy access to a wealth of walks in the nearby Yorkshire Dales, Durham Dales and, to the east, the North York Moors. We offer a superb location on the County Durham and North Yorkshire border for touring and the property boasts all modern amenities from a fitted oak kitchen to Freesat tv and family facilities including a cot and highchair.
A host of charming attractions and family friendly museums and activities await guests based in our spacious North Yorkshire cottage. Nearby market towns Barnard Castle and Richmond are rich local produce centres with fantastic markets, specialist shops and traditional inns. Both also contain magnificent castles, with other castle estates in the area including the Raby Castle estate. For families the National Railway Museum at Shilden and the Beamish Open Air Museum further north are an easy day trip. Numerous walks and a range of outdoor activities feature within the nearby Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors.
Accommodating four guests and with room for a cot, our pet friendly cottage near Barnard Castle has a fully fitted oak kitchen with a microwave and an open plan sitting room and dining room area with Freesat TV, a DVD and a music system. Bedrooms include one double bedroom and two single bedrooms. The bathroom is a shower room inclusive of a WC.
Our pretty converted mill cottage in North Yorkshire is a great option for family holidays, with a cot and highchair both available. Inclusive in booking, guests have access to an enclosed secure 3 1/2 acre field. Two dogs are welcome in the cottage, and the field is the perfect spot for dog exercising. Parking is available and all bedlinen, towels and central heating are included in the booking price.
