Our four bedroom holiday home is a new-build property with a full compliment of high-specification modern appliances and facilities. The property is perfect for family holidays, whether one large or two sharing, and is also suitable for couples sharing and responsible adult groups. In addition to our human guests we are happy to accommodate one well behaved dog.
The small seaside resort of Hornsea sits on the Yorkshire coast approximately 40 minutes from the centre of Hull and 30 minutes south of the larger seaside town of Bridlington. Located at the end of the Trans Pennine Trail, the town is popular with walkers and has some very pleasant walking and cycling trails, both on the former trackbed of the railway that used to serve the town and around Hornsea Mere, the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire and a great place for birdwatching, fishing and sailing. Hornsea beach is a great place to relax whilst the kids build sandcastles, fly kites or collect shells and your dog can run freely along the sands. The beach has a renovated promenade with garden areas and shops where you can buy souvenirs and fish and chips.
Entering Merriemont you find a spacious lounge with a wood floor and a bright red feature wall, there are two leather sofas and an electric fire as well as home entertainment provided by a flat-screen TV with Freeview channels and a DVD player. Next there is a light and airy dining room with an eight-seat table, this opens directly into the sleek, designer kitchen with chic high-gloss surfaces and coordinating integrated appliances. Also on the ground floor is a wet room and the first of the bedrooms; a double room with direct access to the garden. The garage has been converted into a utility area and a games room with a full-size British pool table. Moving to the first floor there is a second double bedroom, as well as two adjoining twin bedrooms. A family-sized bathroom with sink, WC and bath with shower over, serves all guests.
Here at Merriemont you can be assured of a relaxing and fun stay, with the ease of access to the beach, the pool table and televisions in almost every room of the house. The property benefits from LPG fuelled central heating, which is covered by the rental fee along with electricity usage and clean, fresh bedding and towels. Guests with babies/infants can request a travel cot, stair-gate and high-chair, whilst those with pets can bring one amiable dog. There is a small garden to the rear of the house with a decked veranda and furniture. At the front of the property a gravelled driveway offers parking for four cars.
