About this property

Birdie Cottage in Pickering is a pretty single-storey holiday cottage around a mile and a half from the bustling market town centre. Our recently converted two bedroom property sleeps up to five guests in comfort with open-plan living areas and double and twin occupancy rooms and a modern z-bed. We welcome families and provide well for them with a cot and high-chair for infants and plenty of space for older children to play outdoors. The cottage is located beside our own Par 3, 9 hole golf course so is also suitable for small parties of golfers sharing. Whatever your reason for staying, we are sure you will have a relaxing and fun stay.

Pickering is an ancient market town on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The town is popular with tourists for its well-preserved 13th Century castle and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, a heritage railway that starts/ends its trips through the National Park here. Other notable attractions include the Beck Isle Museum, a social history museum with re-created period shops and rooms housed in a Grade 2 listed regency period mansion and outbuildings. The town has two main shopping areas as well as an outdoor market held every Monday. There are also a number of cultural and leisure facilities in the town including a leisure centre and swimming pool, and three theatre venues.

Our well-appointed cottage features a generously proportioned lounge, kitchen and dining space with a comfortable leather seating, a TV with DVD player, radio and a fully fitted kitchen with facilities for cooking and laundry. The bedrooms are both comfy and restful with a double and twin to choose from. There is a large bathroom featuring a bath and separate shower cubicle.

Aside from our golf course, which guests can play one round free of charge on, there is a shared-use grass tennis court, and another grassed area where ball games can be played. We welcome one well-behaved pet dog at the property. There is ample space for guests to park one or more vehicle. The cottage features full LPG central heating which is free of charge to use.
