It's our charming beamed holiday cottage offering inspirational accommodation by the Yorkshire coast, and it enjoys fantastic sea views from most windows. Choose a stay at Seamist if you're looking for family accommodation that's homely and ideally located. Our cottage is over 200 years old, set twenty yards from the harbour and the beach, and it's in a quaint hillside location with access to peaceful cobbled streets full of charming independent shops.
Close to Seamist Cottage you'll find three friendly, traditional pubs. Self-catering breaks needn't require you to spend your evening in the kitchen, and at Seamist they're all about choice. Enjoy traditional pub meals and your favourite drinks, or head to a local cafe for a cup of tea and a biscuit. Also nearby are restaurants for luxury dining. Staithes is home to an art gallery, and you'll be close to family attractions including Go Ape!, Dalby, and the Sea Life Marine Sanctuary in Scarborough for day trips. Sleeping five, Seamist Cottage is a pretty, homely holiday property ideal for your family holiday. It features a multi-fuel stove in the lounge, and we'll provide an initial supply of logs for you to make use of. A TV, DVD player and hi-fi system offer options for entertainment, and in the kitchen you'll find a microwave, a fridge, a freezer and other essential appliances. The cottage features one beamed double bedroom, with sea views, and a separate single bedroom for a child. Upstairs, a twin bedroom offers sea view accommodation for a further two guests, and the cottage features access to a patio garden with furniture.
Guests staying at Seamist Cottage are given a parking permit for one car. We don't have spaces on site, but you'll find a public car park just 800 yards from the cottage door. We're proud to welcome one or two well-behaved, house-trained pets. Just call in advance to let us know they're visiting.
