It has many exquisite features including flagstone floors, a 20" deep fireplace and a magnificent sweeping stair case. Guests can be assured of a friendly welcome and a warm, homely atmosphere. The guesthouse was once a Georgian farmhouse built in 1787, and commands an idyllic position on the village green. Burnley House overlooks the Hutton Beck as it winds through the peaceful garden, and Brown trout can be seen in the clear water, as can a variety of wildlife, including heron on the banks. When you arrive you'll be welcomed with freshly brewed tea or coffee and a slice of beautiful Burnley house Victoria sponge cake. We are members of the Yorkshire Tourist Board and Ryedale Tourist Boards.
Breakfast is served in our dining room, with wood burning fireplace, at a time to suit you. We offer real choice on our breakfast menu, including a traditional English breakfast, poached boiled or scrambled eggs, also a vegetarian option. The breakfast buffet table is set with yogurts home made muesli cereals fruit, a fresh fruit salad and homemade preserves marmite and Yorkshire Honey. We try to use local produce with free range eggs from our own farm. We can cater for children but please discuss your needs with us prior to your visit. We have a cot, baby listening service and a high chair. For the comfort of our guests, Burnley House is a non smoking establishment.
The two front bedrooms are double and look over Hutton beck and the winding white fencing and beautiful cottages. They are very spacious and have beautiful ornate cast iron fire places with very large bathrooms. We also have two ensuite twin rooms, one being on ground level therefore has wheelchair access. The four-poster bed room has a lot of privacy it is just of the car park. Newtondale is on the first floor of the annex, adjoining Burnley house, it is double bedded with en- suite bathroom. We have both double and twin rooms all en-suite some with bath and shower, the bedrooms are very tastefully decorated, with colour TV, Tele Text, hair dryer and central heating. All rooms also have a tea and coffee tray.
DAWN SAFARI - This journey will take you through the local forest and woodland in the early morning. Picked up from Burnley House, Mark will take you to Cropton Forest. You'll experience the woodland waking up and hear the dawn chorus. Look out for the deer and birds, hear about some of the history of the area. Lasting approx two hours, home for hearty breakfast. .......................................... WONDERFUL WALKS Dennis and Caroline can advise you on the best walks to take with amazing views and scenery. .......................................... Hutton-le-Hole is a charming village with many outdoor activities and amenities. There are several excellent pubs and restaurants within a short distance of Hutton le Hole from Michelin star to home cooking also we have a no smoking pub at Appleton le moor. We recommend you book at weekends and the peak holiday times please telephone and we could discuss your arrangements. Hutton le hole has its own pub 200 yards walking distance, The Crown Inn offering a good selection of meals. The Village tennis court is opposite the house an you can book horse riding on the bridleways across the moors. Also Golf at Kirkbymoorside and local fishing. Mountain bikes can be hired at Rosedale Abbey also at Cropton, a mountain bike gives you the chance to explore the Moors both wild and tranquil.

Hutton-le-Hole is just off the A170, east of Kirbymoorside. Just follow signs for the Rydale Folk Museum. Burnley House is the first on the green, with white posts and chain linked fence. The private car park can be found within the courtyard.
