The complex is set in 80 acres of beautiful farmland with access to streams and walks. The cottages retain many of the unique and traditional features. All six cottages have been awarded the prestigious 4 star ETC rating and offer fantastic self catering in North Yorkshire.
Beckhouse Cottages are situated midway between Rosedale Abbey and Pickering on the outskirts of Cropton, within walking distance of Cropton forest and the North York Moors.The East Coast is a half hour drive away for exploring Whitby, Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey with many small fishing villages along the way. The city of York is just over half an hour by car. Maybe take a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway which travels through Heartbeat country (Goathland) and visits various small stations in between. For the children there is Flamingo Land not far away; this theme park and zoo provides a fun filled day for all the family.
All Beckhouse Cottages are tastefully furnished and decorated throughout to a high standard. Awarded 4 Stars for quality accommodation they are fully oil fired centrally heated and each (except Cornflower) has a wood burning stove for added comfort and warmth. Logs are provided at no extra cost. They all have colour TV, DVD and video. There are also books and games in each cottage. In the car parking yard there is also a pay phone. A cot, high chair and z beds are available. Cowslip Cottage sleeps 7, Jasmine Cottage sleeps 4, Cornflower Cottage sleeps 4, Rose Cottage sleeps 4, Honeysuckle Cottage sleeps 4, Primrose Cottage sleeps 2.
We welcome dogs which are kept under control (there is a weekly charge of £5 per dog). The surrounding countryside is excellent for walking, and we allow visitors to walk over our fields. The scenery is beautiful and there is a stream running around our land, in which we allow anyone to fish, or it is lovely to just sit by and maybe have a picnic.
In the winter months 3 or 4 nights breaks are available from £60 per night.
