Moorview Cottage is exactly what you'd expect from a North Yorkshire country cottage - beamed ceilings, exposed stonework and a wood burning stove. Put your feet up in the evening and feel the warmth from the fire after a day of exploring the local areas. Located in the charming village of Commondale, this is the perfect base for taking a ride on a steam train to Whitby where you can sample seaside fish and chips and discover where the inspiration for Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' came from. Walkers and Cyclists alike will love the rural area surrounding the cottage.

On the ground floor of the cottage, you will find a lounge and dining room, a single bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen with hob and electric oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, washing machine and dishwasher. Upstairs there are two more bedrooms which comprise of a double with en-suite power shower and a second double bedroom. There is also a second shower room with another power shower. Outdoors there is a garden bench.

Changeover Day is Saturday. 3 night short breaks are available. Barbecue equipment is available upon request. Free car parking. Pets are welcome for an extra £10 per week. An iron and ironing board is provided. The cottage has a wood burner with a free starter basket of wood, and additional wood available at £2.50 per basket.

If you don't feel like cooking, there are plenty of recommended pubs and restaurants in neighbouring villages that offer tasty, home cooked food. The cottage is approximately 8 miles from the Yorkshire coast!
