The apartment has plenty of charm and character in the decor and styling, with exposed beams, a coal and woodburning stove and a magnificent Gothic four poster bed. Self catering provision is also good, with a gas cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle and toaster. Free WiFi is available, ideal for keeping in touch and an excellent entertainment option too!
Relax in the lounge after a day exploring the delights of the North Yorkshire coast, with a Freeview flatscreen TV, DVD player and iPod docking station for your entertainment. Well behaved pets are welcome to join you on your holiday, with some fantastic coastal walks in the surrounding area. Private parking is available in the courtyard. The Coach House will serve you as a laundry room, with facilities including a washing machine, tumble dryer and a utility sink. The communal garden area has a BBQ and patio furniture.
The cottage is in an excellent location for exploring the North Yorkshire Coast. The pretty seaside villages of Runswick Bay and Straithes are both approximately a mile away, and for walkers the Cleveland Way Coastal Footpath and a network of inland paths are located just a stone's throw away. Nearby Whitby offers numerous opportunities for exploring, fishing, sailing, surfing, rock climbing, fossil hunting and spending time on the beautiful Blue Flag beaches. There are also plenty of attractions including the spectacular Whitby Abbey, the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, the Dracula Experience, Whitby Museum, Pannet Park, Whitby Wizard Science Centre and many more. There are also various places to shop, eat and drink. In Saltburn there is the Victorian Pier, bandstand and Italian Gardens as well as a surf centre where you can hire equipment and have tuition.
Children and pets are welcome, and Palmer's is open all year round with short breaks available. There is a strict non-smoking policy in all of the buildings at Rosedale Cottages. The cottages can be hired individually or together - enquire for further details.
