The Old Post Office dates back to the turn of the century and is located in Thorpe Bassett, a quiet, rural village at the foot of the Wolds only 1 mile from the A64. Foxglove Cottage dates from around 1700, and is located at the foot of the North Yorkshire Moors in a peaceful conservation area bordering the North Yorkshire National Park, and only 10 miles from Scarborough. Both cottages have been sensitively renovated with all modern amenities. Both cottages are non-smoking, plus unfortunately we do not allow pets.

Foxglove Cottage (sleeps 4) has delightful oak beams, South-facing garden which is secure for children,a patio area for barbeques (garden furniture and barbeque provided), off-road parking for two cars is also provided and gas central heating throughout. The Old Post Office (sleeps 4) has private parking at one side - ideal for partially disabled guests. It's most suitable for families, with a large children's playhouse safely situated next to the cottage by the lawned play area (garden furniture and barbeque provided). This single story property has been sensitively converted retaining its period charm while meeting modern requirements. The Old Post Office is heated by storage heaters and is fully double glazed, making it ideal for out-of-season breaks.
