Well look no further than The Old Post Office, a 4 star self catering holiday cottage situated in Thorpe Basset. This wonderful place will present you with a wonderful interior, combining the traditional period look with the modern day contemporary, ultimately providing you with exceptional homely comforts. The village is quiet and rural, and nestles at the foot of the Wolds, providing the ideal area for a leisurely stroll.
The cottage is within easy reach of one of the UK's favourite cities, the historical city of York. Upon your arrival in York, you will be presented with some breathtaking attractions, none more so than the spectacular York Minster. This fantastic example of Gothic architecture is the second largest of its kind in Northern Europe, and is visited by people from all over the world. It also provides you with the best view of the city, once you have climbed the spiral staircase of the minster.
The main bedroom comes with a wood and wrought iron bed, and has a beautiful interior. The second bedroom comes with two single beds. Each room has colour coordinated curtains and bed-linen. The bathroom comes with a bath, shower and underfloor heating. The large lounge/diner is cool and airy for summer and cosy in winter, with an open fireplace and exposed beams. The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped throughout.
Private off road parking. There is a large children's playhouse area which is safely situated next to the cottage. Sorry, no smoking or pets in the cottage. The cottage has a lawned area with garden furniture and barbecue. The cottage is heated by duo heaters and is fully double glazed. There's a washing machine/dryer for muddy trousers or damp beach towels. Price inclusive of heating, electricity, coal and logs for the open fire, bed-linen, bathroom and kitchen towels.
