Our beautiful bed and breakfast accommodation is situated in the charming village of Middleton which is only a short walk from Pickering close to the North Yorkshire Moors. We're in an elevated position so you'll get some splendid views of the rolling countryside. We have 11 acres of grounds for you to relax and enjoy and there are many local walks which we can recommend for you.

You can choose from a twin, king size or super king size bedroom. All of them are well appointed and furnished. The beds are extremely comfortable and we provide a TV, radio alarm, hairdryer, bath robes, generous hospitality trays, extra blankets, eco friendly toiletries and Wi-Fi internet service. The first floor super king room has panoramic views over the open fields. We have a lovely guest lounge with cosy sofas, TV, DVD and CD player. Breakfast at The Hawthornes is really something special. We fire up the Aga and using only produce from the local farmers market, our home made bread and free range eggs, we serve up a hearty, mouthwatering treat.

We have ample car parking on site and there are a huge range of holiday activities and attractions on offer in the area. Dalby Forest, where you can experience Go Ape is only a short drive away. There are lots of cycle trails and we have a secure cycle barn. The Eden Camp, Castle Howard, Helmsley Walled Gardens and Nunnington Hall are just a few of days out you can plan into your itinerary.
