Grade II Listed Morton House sleeping 8/10 with 4 bedrooms is stone built, around 350 years old and thought to be one of Masham's oldest properties. Bedrooms include a loft with king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, the 'gold' room with super king-size bed and the 'princess' room with house bathroom opposite featuring a high old iron bed reached via a ladder like the 'princess and the pea'. Two single beds are in a back bedroom with en-suite shower/ wc. Ground floor living space includes two reception rooms, the formal 'green room' and relaxing TV room with large flat screen TV with Sky package, games console, WiFi and cosy cast-iron stove. The large farmhouse kitchen/diner is perfect for gathering the troops and cooking up a storm. The shared utility area has a washing machine, American style fridge/freezer with icemaker and downstairs WC. All bedrooms are upstairs as are the 3 bathrooms.
The Stable Block offers three bedrooms (sleeping up to 6) including a double bed downstairs with en-suite shower/wc, an upstairs king bedroom (another shower room with wc) and a single room with additional pull out to make a twin if required. The open plan living/dining area has under-floor heating for cosy winter stays, a large flat screen TV with full Sky TV package, DVD player, games console, fully equipped kitchen with under-bench oven and hob. Whichever property you choose, you'll have use of a really cosy home as well as a shared garden with gourmet BBQ. Ample non-restricted street parking is to the front of the property and The Stable Block has a designated off-road parking space available – further secure parking can be arranged should it be required. Pets are accepted by prior arrangement only at time of enquiry.
Both properties are spacious, and you'll have use of a selection of bedrooms giving you a choice of sleeping configurations – super king, king, double and twin, including a rare downstairs bedroom in The Stable Block which is well suited for people who prefer to stay on one level. Out of holiday season Morton House and The Stable Block can be booked on a daily basis for meetings and conferences, catering can be provided. Holiday season we try to stay with weekly bookings arriving on a Saturday but we know that is not always possible so please check with us for your specific requirements.
