In a fabulous location, Low Lock Slack Cottage is our holiday retreat in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales where James Herriot was a vet and the TV series was filmed. Originally a traditional farm building constructed in Yorkshire stone, we've rennovated and restored it to a high standard. You'll find shops in the village just 3 miles away and a couple of pubs in very short walking distance.

Just sit and relax in the comfortable lounge with it's open fire and look out towards the rolling countryside. Our kitchen is very well appointed and equipped and has a dining area and stove. Upstairs is a family room with three single beds, a spacious double bedroom and a smaller double room. The family bathroom has an over the bath shower. We'll gladly provide a cot and highchair on request. You can take full advantage of the open spaces, in the garden and patio area whch we've furnished for you to dine al fresco and fully appreciate the views. In addition to the fire and stove we are fully central heated. You'll find ample parking and we welcome a well behaved pet by prior arrangement.
