The Tontine is a family run restaurant with rooms. The McCoy family have been at the Tontine since 1979, their ethos is to have created a very warm and welcoming venue with an emphasis on excellent quality and standards for food, service and atmosphere.The hotel has seven bedrooms located on the top floor of the grade 2 listed buiilding. They are all individually decorated and furnished to, a few might say, eclectic style, some with spectacular views of the Cleveland Hills.

Ancient and modern collide with art deco lamps, Chinese style tables and antique style mirrors meeting flat screen TVs with freeview, WiFi and broadband facility in each room, climate control heating and cooling and bathrooms with under floor heating.The basement Bistro has a 90 covers capacity, with its fabulous Grade 1 listed ceiling and candle lit tables, the Bistro has a unique atmosphere. Serving a wide selection of good food and wine, for lunch and dinner.Anyone wishing to hold a private function the Tontine also has the restaurant and bar which is a private room and only used for booked events. This large, classically styled, rich red room, with a dazzling chandelier forming the centre piece, creates the perfect setting for a variety of special events or occasions. With its own private bar, weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties all feel truly individual in these stunning surroundings.
