Charming Thwaitedale Cottages command an excellent North Yorkshire position in Thwaite in Upper Swaledale, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, 10 miles from Reeth, & just over the Buttertubs Pass from Hawes in Wensleydale. Very near the Pennine Way long distance footpath which passes through Thwaite. We're perfect for walkers, with many beautiful waterfall walks nearby including Kisdon Force & Wainwath Falls & not far from Aysgarth Falls. The holiday cottages are also near Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk which passes behind Kisdon.
Two holiday cottages are East Chapel (Kisdon View) and West Chapel (Waterfall View). They are part of an atmospheric Chapel which was built in 1863. The Chapel has since undergone a luxury conversion into two separate properties. Each property can accommodate up to six guests in three bedrooms, and the layout in each property includes a double/twin bedroom with en-suite shower and basin, a small double room, with bathroom and toilet adjacent on the ground floor, along with a washing machine and utility area, and a large twin bedroom with en-suite shower, basin and toilet on the upper floor. Our two other holiday cottages are East and West Cottages. These two delightful cottages can sleep up to 4 persons. The accommodation in each comprises of one double bedroom and one twin bedroom with en-suite shower and basin, with a bathroom and toilet adjacent.
There is plenty of warmth and hot water supplied by oil central heating, plus an open fire/wood-burning stove in the lounge. The holiday cottages will always be warm upon your arrival. All bed linen and towels are provided, and all our duvets are 13.5 tog or more, and the beds will be made up for your arrival. All the cottages have well-equipped kitchens, with modern facilities and are inclusive of all heating, electricity, kitchen requisites and bed-linen. Laundry facilities are available, and East & West Chapel have their own washing machines. No need to worry about parking, ample parking is provided for guests.
