Hillside Cottage is situated within the half acre garden of Hillside, the main house, in the West End of Ampleforth village. It lies within the boundary of the North York Moors National Park with fine views of the Howardian Hills to the south. The 4 star cottage, which was converted from an old barn, is built from local stone with a red pantile roof. It is attractively decorated throughout. The ground floor accommodation consists of a beamed living room with exposed stone walls and a wood burning stove, a kitchen with French doors to the garden and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. A hall and stairway lead to two good sized bedrooms (one with a king size bed and one with twin beds). The self-catering cottage sleeps 4 and is available weekly and for short breaks. It is a no smoking establishment and sorry no pets.
