Property Information

Ace York is a grand Georgian 1752 property, conveniently located near York railway station and situated on Micklegate, one of the oldest part of York. With many impressive features including stone-flagged entrance hall, a grand carved sweeping staircase, panelled rooms, vaulted cellar and a fabulous Rococo ceiling featuring Shakespeare's head. The property has its own bar, internet lounge, oak beamed basement TV lounge, games room, sauna and outside seating area; making Ace York the top end of budget accommodation.

Ace York is situated within the City of York walls and has incredible views including York Minster. Ace York has recently undergone a £2 million hotel refurbishment programme, in line with its traditional Georgian Heritage but with a modern edge making it your perfect accommodation for a trip to York. This accommodation is ideal for exploring the city centre, close to shops, restaurants, pubs and attractions.

Additional Information

Choose from doubles, twin bunks, family rooms and dormitories, which range from 4 to 14 beds and all en suite. The family rooms overlook the medieval walls and have original oak beams and fireplaces. The double bedrooms overlook the famous York wall built in 1192 and have safes, TVs and their own 18th century fireplaces. All twin rooms have en suite bathrooms and tea and coffee making facilities.

Specialities

The hostel has its own bar radiating charm and elegance, offering a range of drinks and snacks. The TV lounge is based in the old servant’s kitchen down in the basement, with large plasma TVs and deep red cushioned sofas. Our games room offers table tennis & a selection of your favourite retro video games.

Availability

Saturday's are nearly always full a month in advance, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Sundays & Mondays are relatively quiet if you want to relax a little more.
