Shallowdale House has stunning views, and is perched on the southern edge of the North York Moors National Park, just 20 miles north of York. Shallowdale House was built at the beginning of the 1960's. It sits within a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Our four course dinners are particular favourites with guests. Winner of the Yorkshire Tourist Board White Rose Award for Guest Accommodation of the Year 2003.
If you're looking for spacious and beautifully lit rooms, then you'll find them at Shallowdale House. Panoramic views are to be had to the south through large picture windows. Paintings and books abound and the interior design contributes a warm and relaxing ambience:the peaceful drawing room on the ground floor and restorative sitting room on the first floor are ideal places to unwind, where complimentary tea and home-made goodies are served between four and five in the afternoons. Not only adjacent to a National Park, we also have two acres of beautiful gardens in which guests can relax and take in the views.
