Brickfields Farm - Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast Accommodation
Breakfast is served in the charming conservatory, with panoramic views over the surrounding fields. A generous cooked breakfast is served at 8.30am, and we are happy to cater for any special requests or dietary requirements. Brickfields is no longer a working farm, but you can see sheep and lambs grazing in the spring and summer months, and my little family of guinea fowl are a constant source of interest and amusement. (Please note that we are unable to accommodate pets).
There are six stylishly refurbished guest rooms, all ground floor rooms, and all with en-suite facilities. Two rooms are in the farmhouse, and four rooms are located in the newly converted barn. All rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished, with good quality mattresses and cosy goose down duvets and pillows. Your room will be prepared specially for you, so if you have any special requirements (eg a preference for synthetic pillows) please let me know in advance. Each room is well-equipped with fluffy towels, bath sheets and bathrobes, a hairdryer, a flat screen TV with DVD and Freeview Channels, and fresh flowers. Refreshments in each guest room include tea and coffee (regular and de-caffeinated), a selection of herbal teas and infusions, and a selection of biscuits. The fridge in each room contains fresh milk and mineral water. Each en-suite bathroom is equipped with modern, efficient showers and heated towel rails, and a range of quality “Spa Therapy" toiletries, plus cotton wool balls and fluffy face cloths.
The four Barn rooms (two double rooms with king size beds, and two twin rooms) are very spacious and superbly appointed, and have large windows with French doors opening on to a west-facing terrace with views over open fields. Guests can sit on the terrace and enjoy a cup of tea in the afternoon sunshine, or a glass of wine in the warm summer evenings. There is ample parking so you can park your car directly outside your room. A short stroll across the courtyard brings you back to the conservatory, where your generous Yorkshire breakfast is served at 8.30am. The two rooms in the farmhouse (both on the ground floor) share a comforatble seating area with a log-burning stove, which is very cosy during the winter months. The Green Room is a double room with a beamed ceiling and an Antique French bed. The Stable Room with twin beds was formerly a stable but is now a light and airy room with original ceiling timbers and a large window, which enjoys the morning sunshine.
