Welcome to Brickfields Farm At the end of a tree-lined lane, in a private and secluded location, Brickfields Farm lies just to the south of the traditional Market Town of Kirkbymoorside, giving easy access to the North York Moors. The farm has been in my family for 85 years and though it is no longer a working farm, it is surrounded by pastures where sheep and lambs graze in the spring and summer months and where my little flock of Guinea Fowl forage for seeds and insects. In a series of dramatic renovation projects we have transformed the farmhouse and the barn to provide spacious, comfortable and stylish bed and breakfast accommodation. I hope you will enjoy the quiet, informal atmosphere at Brickfields Farm and I look forward to welcoming you, both new visitors and returning guests, to my home.

There are six spacious and stylish guest rooms in the recently renovated Barn. Each is beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished, providing a pleasing blend of modern comfort with old style character. The latest conversion (of the former cowshed) includes a most imposing Four Poster bed with antique panels carved with vine leaf motifs.

There are three double rooms with king size beds, two rooms with super-king size beds which can be made up with twin beds if required (one of which is wheelchair -accessible). The Four Poster room features a bed with a Super-king size (6ft) mattress Sleeping ... All the beds are extremely comfortable, with quality mattresses, and either cosy goose down duvets for cooler nights, or lighter-weight duvets for the summer months, to ensure a good night's sleep. The rooms will be specially prepared for you, so if you have any special requirements (eg a preference for anti-allergy pillows) please let me know in advance so I can make the appropriate arrangements.

Relaxing... Each guest room has a comfortable seating area with a large sofa to make your stay more relaxing. There is a flat screen television with DVD / CD player and Freeview digital channels are available (including digital radio channels). Each guest room has a small refreshment area containing a kettle, a little sink, and a fridge where you will find complimentary mineral water and a little jug of fresh milk which is replenished daily. The hospitality tray is well stocked with tea and coffee, herbal teas and infusions, biscuits, and your own little tea pot. There are also two wine glasses and a corkscrew. Bathing ... The delightful en-suite bathrooms are spacious and feature walk-in "wet room" style showers tiled with craftsmen-fitted travertine. There are also heated towel rails, and "soft close" loo seats, and the Four Poster room is also equipped with a large double-ended bath, for an extra touch of luxury. You will also find a range of quality "Spa Therapy" toiletries, cotton wool balls and fluffy towels, bath sheets, face cloths and bathrobes, and a hairdryer. a breath of air ... All rooms are on the ground floor with large windows with French doors opening on to a west-facing terrace with views over the open fields, where sheep and lambs graze in the spring and summer months. You can sit on the terrace and enjoy a cup of tea in the afternoon sunshine, or indeed a glass of wine in the warm summer evenings. There is ample parking directly outside the rooms which makes the accommodation easily accessible for the less able guest. a short stroll across the courtyard will bring you back to the conservatory, where your generous Yorkshire breakfast will be served. And ... ... There is a further guest room with twin beds in the farmhouse. ... ... Wireless internet access is available.
