Braithwaite Hall is a working hill farm situated in the lower reaches of Coverdale which borders the more famous Wensleydale. The farm has a large flock of Swaledale sheep and a beef cattle herd. Re-modelled in 1667, the Hall boasts a splendid oak panelled drawing room with a large open fireplace where guests can watch TV or just sit and relax and take in the ambiance. Braithwaite Hall is ideally situated for walking or exploring the famous Yorkshire Dales, with footpaths going through and around the farm as well as a bridleway.

Bed and Breakfast Accommodation at Braithwaite Hall comprises of: 1 kingsize 4 poster oak panelled room, 1 Superior double room, both en-suite shower rooms. 1 twin bedded room with private bathroom, Ideal for children 12 to 16 years. 1 bedroom self catering apartment with super king size bed, Accommodates 2 people only. 1 dog allowed in apartment only. All rooms have tea & coffee making facilities, TV/free view, hairdryer & bathrobes. 1 bedroom Luxury self catering apartment on the East ground floor of Braithwaite Hall, comprising of 1 bedroom with super King size bed, sitting room with TV/DVD player, log burner (and storage heaters), full size kitchen with oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and dining area, bathroom with roll top bath. This is let on a weekly basis from £280 to £440 , or as a bed breakfast from £125 per night. Short breaks for self catering 2 or 3 nights @ £100 per night. Large oak panelled drawing room. Full English breakfast is served every morning in the dining room, using only locally sourced award winning Masham sausages, bacon, eggs are free range and bread & preserves are all home made. Breakfast also includes cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurt. Arrival time after 4pm, departure by 10.30am. Sorry but we do not have a credit card machine. Please note we do not allow children under 12 years.

Availability information

Bed & Breakfast Closed November, December, January and February. Self catering is available all year round. We only take a minimum 2 night stays during Bank Holidays. When a booking is made we ask for a £50 deposit. If you have to cancel we will try to re-let your room & if so will refund you.
